UCLA upsets Ray Meyer's top ranked, unbeaten Depaul, 77-71, in the second round of the West Reginals of the NCAA basketball tourny, despite 23 pts. from the Blue Devils' Terry Cummings and 19 from mark Aguirre. Led by frosh guard Rod Foster and Kiki Vandeweghe, coach Larry Brown's Bruins will make it all the way to the Finals before falling to Louisville. |

In an exciting Big Ten contest, Indiana's 15-game home winnig streak is on the line after squandering a 13-pt lead in the final 12 mins to trail Illinois, 67-65. With 2 seconds left, the Hoosiers' Jay Edwards ties the game at 67-67 with a 12-foot fadeaway. It appears that the game will go into overtime, but Nick Anderson swishes a 35-footer as hte buzzer sounds and Illinois prevails, 70-67. |
